Customer Review

"Wholesome story that genuinely witnesses the value of true friendship amid challenges. Although the characters are friendly make-believe woodland animals, the story reveals a wonderful teaching moment for us all. Rabbit experiences specifically a physical challenge- wanting to be able to play and climb trees -like everybody else- especially his friends. Bear and squirrel reveal their sincere love for their friend and are determined to somehow find a way to include rabbit. I recommend that this book be read to any child who might suffer a "handicap" -whether it be short term on crutches, long term in a wheelchair, or delayed speech impairment. I also very much recommend this book to any child who loves to be a good friend to everybody -including those with physical challenges of any kind. No spoilers- but my favorite line: "These tears mean I'm glad. I'm glad I have friends who can climb up a tree, and I'm glad I have friends who don't want to without me."
